Dear Colleague
We are finalizing the training programme for the Ego State Therapy Safari in South Africa. Please take note that the focus and content of the workshops will be Ego State Therapy as a therapeutic modality and in combination with other therapeutic modalities.
We are planning a very interesting programme at Mabula Lodge, this training week will give you the opportunity to attend the training event, while simultaneously affording you the opportunity of experiencing the beauty and diversity of South Africa. You are welcome to bring your partner/spouse to join you. (Sharing your accommodation)
Please take note that participation in this training week will be on a first registered first served basis as there is only a limited number of space and accommodation available.
Training format
The training will focus on Ego State Therapy and Ego State Therapy combined with other therapeutic approaches. The workshop format will be theory and live demonstrations, practical and small-group exercises. There will be 3 hour workshops in the morning and 2-2½ hour workshops in the afternoon. There will also be an opportunity for self-experience and individual supervision sessions with accredited German and English speaking supervisors and assistants.
Language
The workshop programme will be in English and German. There will be parallel English and German workshops.

11 October 2022: Arrival in the morning at OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg and departure to Mabula Lodge by group bus transport
12 October 2022: Leisure day
13-15 October 2022: Workshop days
16 October 2022: Leisure day
17-18 October 2022: Workshop days
19 October 2022: Departure to OR Tambo International Airport after breakfast

Accommodation Mabula Lodge
The special accommodation rate negotiated with Mabula Lodge for this event is R2490.00 (or ±150 Euro) per person per night for workshop participants. This rate is inclusive of bed, breakfast, dinner and 2 safaris per day. Lunch and morning and afternoon refreshments during the training days are covered by the workshop fees.
The accommodation rate for accompanying persons is R3480.00 (or ±210 Euro) per night. The rate for accompanying persons (not attending the workshop) is inclusive of bed, breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 safaris per day.
Please take note that the accommodation rates on the Mabula website is not applicable to this event. The normal accommodation rates for October 2022 are between R4970.00 (±301 Euro) and R7569.00 (±458 Euro) per person per night.
Please do not reserve accommodation on the Mabula website. Accommodation will be reserved for you by Hanlé on registration and you will receive an invoice from Mabula Lodge nearer to the safari date.
Flight reservations and arrival in South Africa
Please take note: You need to arrive at the OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg in the morning of Tuesday 11 October 2022. Arrival time should not be later than 10:30 for you to make use of the group transport to Mabula leaving at 12:00 from the airport.
Please make sure of the arrival time when you make your flight reservations.
The group transport will depart from Mabula on Wednesday 19 October 2022 at 9:30 for international flights back home or domestic flights to other destinations in South Africa.
Domestic and international flights on 19 October 2022 should be arranged to depart from OR Tambo International not before 15:00.
If you plan to visit South Africa before the workshop you will need to meet up with the group at OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg not later than 10:30 on Tuesday 11 October 2022.
Very Important: Make sure when booking your flights that you select an option to change or cancel the flight reservations if needed.
Baggage rules on domestic airlines:
Please check the baggage rules for domestic airlines when booking a flight. Fewer and lighter luggage items are allowed on domestic flights than on international flights.
Domestic airlines in South Africa:We would suggest that you reserve domestic flights in South Africa with FlySafair :https://www.flysafair.co.za/ as they currently have the safest flight record, also book your luggage and seat on reservation.
Transport Arrangements to Mabula Lodge
Please take note: There is no public transport available between the airport and Mabula Lodge, therefore group transport will be arranged between OR Tambo International airport and Mabula Lodge on 11 October 2022 and 19 October 2022. The transport fee will be confirmed nearer to the date as it will depend on the number of passengers.
Travel insurance
Please take note that we strongly advise that you take out sufficient insurance to cover all your travel arrangements and expenses in case the event should be cancelled due to any natural/other disaster or unforeseen circumstances.
Please take note that MEISA reserves the right to cancel this event at any stage should the Corona Virus pandemic necessitates it.
